1. Introduction

Hello! My name is Annabelle Leung and I am an aspiring performer. I decided to create a blog and a website to not only create a brand for myself and put it on my resume, but also to share a little bit about my journey through life. Hoping one day to help someone who might also be in the same situation as myself.
There has been multiple times when I felt lonely and wanted to look for help and advice or to at least find someone with the same dilemma and how they went through it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find much help. Though there are a lot of sources online about performing tips and general inquiries, I have always been drawn to certain bloggers who aren't afraid to share their stories truthfully, letting me know that I was not the only one.
So I hope that this blog can help someone like my favorite blogs help me.
2. About Me
I'm a narcissistic person who makes a blog about herself, so this should be fun.
i. I was born in the year 2000, which is the year of the dragon in the lunar calendar

ii. I am from Hong Kong, born and raised.

iii. I am mixed (1/2 Chinese and 1/2 Filipino)

iv. I am bilingual (I'm not sure what my technical native language is, but I am more fluent in English. So I would call English my first language and Cantonese as my second language.)

v. I am really rusty at Tagalog and Mandarin. I only know certain Tagalog quotes and words and limited Mandarin.

vi. I started dancing on and off when I was 9, but truly started training when I was 14.

vii. I started singing when I was a kid, I sucked then, and suck a little less now.

viii. I started taking my musical theatre journey at the ripe age of 17.

ix. I used to do gymnastics when I was a child but quit because I lost a tournament. (I'll save that story for another day.)

x. My dream is to be on Broadway or the West End. (Preferably an ensemble member or a swing)

3. What to expect
On this blog I will posting stories about the past, present and future. Sharing dumb memories as a child, audition and performance experiences, random rants, weird advice, dreams and aspirations and little tips I have picked up along the one. Though I don't have much to offer, I do hope that this blog can be long living, and gives me motivation to better myself and see how much I have changed over the course of time.
And who knows, maybe one day I will be taking my first bow on the big stage. But that's for another day. For now, let's just get through the day and let our story take flight.
